How We Test

We understand that our customers must be able to count on us, with each and every order, to provide exactly the parts they need, without surprises. That’s why we adhere to the rigorous procedural standards defined by ISO/TS 16949:2009 standards.  In addition, we  are committed to providing comprehensive Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation / APQP Reports / and full documentation on 8-D and 5 Factor Tree Analysis on Quality Management Controls.  From the factory floor to the customer’s door, we never stop thinking about Quality and our commitments and plans are robust enough to ensure your peace of mind that the “millionth” part received is just as the samples you approved.

Quality of Rubber: Rubber Testing

Ensuring the quality of rubber products with rubber tests is extremely important to manufacturers. High standards of quality control make sure customers get the highest functioning rubber products that perform at or above expectations.  At the least, this reflects positively on the manufacturer. At the most, it protects the end-users. In critical rubber applications like medical o-ring seals and rubber aerospace parts, high-quality rubber and high-quality synthetic rubber are crucial for safety.  Rubber, as sturdy and tough as it is, is affected by its environment over time. Understanding how a rubber product will perform in its end-use conditions is critical to assessing the quality of the material. After all, if rubber is strong in average temperatures, but rubber testing reveals that it becomes brittle at low temperatures, it will not be suitable for low-temperature applications. For this reason, rubber analytics and testing are processes unique to each manufacturer and application. The proper course of testing will depend on industry and product goals. Before it gets to its end use, it’s important to understand the qualities of rubber under specific conditions.

Example: Rubber hoses endurance test

All of our rubber hoses go through rigorous testing before leaving our production facilities and in order to ensure consistent results and to document our findings we continually make investments to speed up and improve our testing facilities.

We can do all required test at our own hoses, and will do the all required test as per drawing's need.

Example:Rubber to metal bonding destructive test

CLS do the 100% bonding destructive test for first article inspection before production every day, it can make sure the adhesion strength to meet the required strength. This is a quite important process before production about how CLS do the quality control. CLS already delvier 40 millions ~ 50 millions rubber to metal bonding parts for global clients since 1975.

Example: 100% inspection Key features on drawing

For the Key features on drawing, like this video, there are 2 holes which are key features, they are very important for parts assembly and installation , CLS will do the 100% inspection before packing after holes punching. CLS also can do the punching fixture at own house.

Example: Part inspection by 3D scanner

For some sizes on drawing, it cannot be measured by the 2.5D projector. We can use 3D scanner for measuring the shape and central line as per client's need.
